TabRunner Terms of Use

The short version: TabRunner is open-source software you run in your own browser, with your own AI provider. There is no TabRunner service to sign up for or depend on. You are responsible for what the agent does with your sessions — it asks before consequential actions, but supervision is yours.

1. The software

TabRunner is free, open-source software licensed under the MIT License (see LICENSE). These terms cover your use of the published builds (the zip releases and, once approved, the Chrome Web Store listing). The MIT license governs the code itself.

2. No service

TabRunner is software, not a service. There is no TabRunner server, account, subscription, or telemetry — nothing we operate, host, or can shut off. Nothing in these terms creates an account relationship or a service-level commitment of any kind.

3. Your providers, your terms

You bring your own AI provider — a subscription you sign into, or an API key you paste. Your agreement with that provider (pricing, rate limits, acceptable use, data handling) is between you and them. TabRunner sends task data only to the provider you configure, as PRIVACY.md describes; we are not a party to that relationship and don't see the traffic.

4. Your browser, your responsibility

TabRunner acts in your browser, with your logged-in sessions and authority. It is designed to stop and ask before consequential actions — paying, sending, deleting, submitting — but that guardrail is best-effort, not a guarantee. You are responsible for:

• supervising runs, especially on accounts that can spend, send, or publish;
• what the agent does with your accounts, and for complying with the terms of the sites you point it at (automated use of a site may be governed by that site's own rules);
• vetting tasks you delegate through MCP clients or other tools that drive the browser through TabRunner.

If a mistake would be expensive or irreversible, don't run it unattended.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use TabRunner to break the law, breach contracts or sites' terms, or infringe others' rights. That's the whole list.

6. No warranty, no liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TabRunner is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied (including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement). In no event are the authors or contributors liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from your use of the software — including actions the agent took in your browser.

7. Changes

If these terms change, this document is updated and the change is noted in the release notes of the version that carries it.
